From the reviews
I had the opportunity of meeting Dr. Shaye in late August after I had suffered multiple injuries due to a car accident. The emergency room in Rhode Island had referred me to Dr.
I have spent a lot of time with different medical professionals, good and bad, and I am happy to say that my experience at Mass Eye and Ear was exceptional. Specifically, facial plastics. I am beyond grateful I was able to be cared for at this facility, and particularly, by Dr.
I came to Dr. Shaye to help with some breathing problems I had been having. He was extremely helpful in determining the root cause of the issue, explaining all of the steps of remedying it, and following through with surgery and aftercare.
I was referred to Dr. Shaye for what I thought was just a cosmetic concern. I will always remember how amazed I was after my first appointment with Dr. Shaye. He had studied my case thoroughly, brought me to his office and explained in details the issue I had taking all the time needed.
Researching a tummy tuck?
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is major surgery with real risks and a recovery that usually runs several weeks — this page is a starting point for finding a surgeon, not medical advice. The most useful next step is a consultation, where a surgeon reviews your health history, examines you, talks through your options, and gives a personal quote. Bring questions and don't rush the decision.
Questions worth asking: Are you board-certified in plastic surgery (and can I verify it)? Where would you operate, and is the facility accredited? Can I see before-and-after photos of your own patients? What are the risks and the realistic recovery timeline for me? What's your revision policy if something needs adjusting? Whatever a listing says, always verify certification directly with the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) at abplasticsurgery.org, and discuss your candidacy, risks, and recovery with the surgeon.
