About this directory

TummyTuckDoctors.net is an independent directory of 11,866 plastic surgery practices that perform tummy tucks (abdominoplasty) across 51 US states. We are a directory of licensed professionals — not a medical provider, and not a source of medical advice. We don't perform procedures, we don't recommend that anyone have surgery, and nothing here should be taken as clinical guidance for your situation.

It's built for people at every stage of researching a tummy tuck: the cost-shopper working out what a procedure typically runs and how financing works, the post-pregnancy patient looking into a mommy makeover, the person comparing procedure types (mini vs. full vs. extended vs. 360 vs. drainless), and anyone vetting a surgeon. The questions are always the same — how much does it cost, is there financing or a free consultation, and above all, is this surgeon board-certified?

Board certification is the trust spine of this site. "Cosmetic surgeon" is not a protected title, but board-certified plastic surgeon is — it means certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), the recognized standard for training in tummy tuck and body contouring. We foreground it everywhere, and on every listing and guide we say the same thing: verify a surgeon's board certification directly with the ABPS at abplasticsurgery.org before you book, and consult the surgeon about your candidacy, the risks, and recovery. Tummy tuck is major surgery with real risks — we say so plainly, and we never claim a procedure is "safe" or "right for you."

How we evidence-mine what a practice offers. A category listing can't tell you whether a surgeon is board-certified, offers financing, or provides a free consultation, so we don't take the listing's word for it. We mine two public sources for every practice: the practice's own website (where it describes its surgeons' credentials, procedures, financing, and consultation policy in its own words) and public patient reviews on Google, where patients describe their own experience. When we badge a practice as board-certified, drainless, or mommy-makeover, someone confirmed it on the practice's site or in a public review. Because badges require evidence rather than self-reporting, the counts are floors that grow as our crawls continue — and a practice we haven't flagged may still be board-certified, which is exactly why you should verify each surgeon yourself at the ABPS.

A note on cost. Every price on this site is an estimate — a self-pay figure a practice lists or that patients report — never a quote. Tummy tuck pricing varies widely with the surgeon, the technique, anesthesia, and the surgical facility, and a listed price often covers the surgeon's fee only. Always request a personal quote in a consultation. We show estimates so you can orient yourself, not so you can shop on price alone.

Reviews and ratings shown on practice pages are excerpts of patient opinions from public sources — they are not endorsements, and they don't speak to any surgeon's clinical results. Our "best of" rankings are computed from public Google ratings weighted by review volume; no practice can pay for a placement or a rank.

Listings are compiled from public map and business data plus practice websites, then filtered to practices that perform tummy tucks — no non-surgical med-spas or unrelated clinics. We re-crawl the dataset on a rolling basis to catch closures and new practices.

If you're a practice and want a correction — hours, address, procedures, credentials, or a listing that shouldn't be here — email hello@tummytuckdoctors.net and we'll fix it in the next refresh.
