From the reviews
I'm a Kaiser HMO patient but was referred out to PAOS. Initially, I was disappointed not to see Dr. Popham as one of his former partners, Dr. Wiggs performed my first oculoplastic surgery 30 years ago. On reflection, I could not have been happier to be under the care of Dr. Vaishnav.
I had been experiencing near continuous watering eyes and was finally diagnosed with “lazy” eyes which basically meant that my eyelids had prolapsed. This resulted in my eyes not effectively being lubricated. Dr Vaishnav recommended a procedure to tighten up my lower eyelids.
Dr Vaishnav was absolutely wonderful. He took the time to carefully evaluate me, consider the source of my symptoms and rule out other conditions. I got a diagnosis of blepharospasm and once we reviewed different options, he got me started on treatment immediately. To say he is a lifesaver is an understatement.
I recently had the MOHS procedure done very close to my eye and tear duct to remove a skin cancer. Dr. Vaishnav coordinated with my dermatologist to close the area the day after the MOHS procedure. I was anxious about the whole thing! Dr.
Researching a tummy tuck?
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is major surgery with real risks and a recovery that usually runs several weeks — this page is a starting point for finding a surgeon, not medical advice. The most useful next step is a consultation, where a surgeon reviews your health history, examines you, talks through your options, and gives a personal quote. Bring questions and don't rush the decision.
Questions worth asking: Are you board-certified in plastic surgery (and can I verify it)? Where would you operate, and is the facility accredited? Can I see before-and-after photos of your own patients? What are the risks and the realistic recovery timeline for me? What's your revision policy if something needs adjusting? Whatever a listing says, always verify certification directly with the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) at abplasticsurgery.org, and discuss your candidacy, risks, and recovery with the surgeon.
