About this practice
From the reviews
Dr. Kivitt is the most thorough and knowledgeable dermatologist I have ever worked with. With decades of practical experience and a deep understanding of his craft, I feel like I am under incredible care.
Recently I saw Dr. Kivett to remove several brown spots on my face that made me look much older than I am. Yes, I am a bit vain but I believe we should look as best as we can. He treated me successfully, removed the several spots, and left me looking ten years younger. He is a 5 star doctor.
Dr Kivett is good about talking you through the procedure and explaining what he is doing. After the surgery I had a non-urgent question and left a message. He returned my call within the hour. He has acquired a lot of knowledge and expertise over the years which brings confidence to the patient.
Dr. Kivett generously volunteered his time to provide skin cancer screenings for local firefighters at a recent event in Marin County. His compassion and professionalism truly stood out. It’s rare to see such dedication to both medicine and community service. Highly recommend!
Researching a tummy tuck?
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is major surgery with real risks and a recovery that usually runs several weeks — this page is a starting point for finding a surgeon, not medical advice. The most useful next step is a consultation, where a surgeon reviews your health history, examines you, talks through your options, and gives a personal quote. Bring questions and don't rush the decision.
Questions worth asking: Are you board-certified in plastic surgery (and can I verify it)? Where would you operate, and is the facility accredited? Can I see before-and-after photos of your own patients? What are the risks and the realistic recovery timeline for me? What's your revision policy if something needs adjusting? Whatever a listing says, always verify certification directly with the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) at abplasticsurgery.org, and discuss your candidacy, risks, and recovery with the surgeon.
