From the reviews
I highly recommend Virginia Institute of Plastic Surgery in Richmond, VA. The doctors are brothers who have the kindest, professional people on their staff. They truly care about you as they describe the procedure(s) and the recovery as well. My abdominoplasty and liposuction procedure took about 5 hours.
I had such a great experience with this office. The entire staff has been nothing but amazing, from the front desk to the nurses to Dr Sundin and Kim. Everyone is always kind, patient, and extremely reassuring, both before and after my surgery.
Dr. Reps Sundin and his entire team are amazing. He is a very cautious and skilled surgeon; Cissy eased my nerves and helped me navigate financing. St. Mary's, where Dr. Sundin performed my surgery, has an excellent team of nurses and anesthesiologists. Dr.
I have been a patient for several different in-office procedures with Dr. Sundin over the years and he is fantastic. He is a great listener, and makes genuine recommendations on what would yield the best results. I’ve seen him for an ear lobe piercing repair, and also lipo.
Researching a tummy tuck?
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is major surgery with real risks and a recovery that usually runs several weeks — this page is a starting point for finding a surgeon, not medical advice. The most useful next step is a consultation, where a surgeon reviews your health history, examines you, talks through your options, and gives a personal quote. Bring questions and don't rush the decision.
Questions worth asking: Are you board-certified in plastic surgery (and can I verify it)? Where would you operate, and is the facility accredited? Can I see before-and-after photos of your own patients? What are the risks and the realistic recovery timeline for me? What's your revision policy if something needs adjusting? Whatever a listing says, always verify certification directly with the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) at abplasticsurgery.org, and discuss your candidacy, risks, and recovery with the surgeon.
