Need a new dermatologist? You might want this guy to be yours. His name is Dr Smith. First of all he was on time, he was quick with answers you knew you could tell what he was talking about. He took care of my problems right away and made me feel very very comfortable in the process.
I had my first appointment today with Dr. Smith at Shelbyville Dermatology. I was very pleased with him and his staff. Very professional (and friendly) doctor and staff. I had been a long time patient of Dermatology and Associates in Louisville. I'm happy to say that I won't be making that drive again.
For one who's not in Dr offices very often, I was super impressed with all aspects of my experience with Dr Smith & his whole team. They worked with me on schedules and insurance effortlessly. I had a large cyst removed, Dr Smith did a beautiful job. The RN that assisted has a gentle touch and I didn't feel a thing.
How a specialist office should run!! I walked in and everyone was happy and was there to help. From Amanda at the desk to the nurse (sorry, I didn't catch her name) to Dr. Smith. What a great team!!
Researching a tummy tuck?
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is major surgery with real risks and a recovery that usually runs several weeks — this page is a starting point for finding a surgeon, not medical advice. The most useful next step is a consultation, where a surgeon reviews your health history, examines you, talks through your options, and gives a personal quote. Bring questions and don't rush the decision.
Questions worth asking: Are you board-certified in plastic surgery (and can I verify it)? Where would you operate, and is the facility accredited? Can I see before-and-after photos of your own patients? What are the risks and the realistic recovery timeline for me? What's your revision policy if something needs adjusting? Whatever a listing says, always verify certification directly with the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) at abplasticsurgery.org, and discuss your candidacy, risks, and recovery with the surgeon.
