About this practice
“Lou assessed me and decided that a scar revision surgery would be a good option.”
From the reviews
Dr. Lou has been my plastic surgeon for the past year and a half. He did my breast reduction last year and a scar revision this year. He explained everything very thoroughly to me and my mother. He made us feel very comfortable throughout the whole process.
Dr Richard Lou took care of myself and my girlfriend after we were involved in a fire. We are both grateful for his expertise and professionalism. We never imagined we would be burn victims, but because of Dr Lou, we are burn SURVIVORS! Thank you for everything you did for the both of us.
I was badly burned last year and had Lou as my surgeon. That was the best decision we made. I look the same as I did before the fire. My face arms hands neck chest and stomach were burned I have full use and no extremely noticeable signs of being burned. My arms and hands are still blending I did have the liquid skin.
Dr. Lou was professional, informing us thoroughly of the procedure. He was available every step of the way. Dr. Lou provided a confidence and security of his craft, giving me ease. We are pleased with the his work. I recommend him for a Breast Reduction. He created a natural even look. Thank you.
Researching a tummy tuck?
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is major surgery with real risks and a recovery that usually runs several weeks — this page is a starting point for finding a surgeon, not medical advice. The most useful next step is a consultation, where a surgeon reviews your health history, examines you, talks through your options, and gives a personal quote. Bring questions and don't rush the decision.
Questions worth asking: Are you board-certified in plastic surgery (and can I verify it)? Where would you operate, and is the facility accredited? Can I see before-and-after photos of your own patients? What are the risks and the realistic recovery timeline for me? What's your revision policy if something needs adjusting? Whatever a listing says, always verify certification directly with the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) at abplasticsurgery.org, and discuss your candidacy, risks, and recovery with the surgeon.
