About this practice
From the reviews
My son is professional fighter & broke his jaw. He was flown to the trauma center from the big island. Dr Nip is so amazing. We are grateful for his honesty and compassion. I would highly recommend him & the wonderful staff. They work with you and adjust themselves to your needs. 🖒
My experience with Dr. Nip and his office was very professional, and I felt secure in his hands. He has a lot of experience and he is dedicated to his profession and his patients. He took a long time my first visit explaining the details of breast reconstruction.
He saved my life. He is continuing to revise a tummy tuck that was performed by another surgeon and went terribly wrong here in Honolulu(to say the very least). The first photo is of the donor site taken from my left thigh and the second photo is my covered wounded belly connected to a wound vac. Thank you Dr.
I was on vacation and fell while hiking. I flew from another island to Honolulu for him to come to ER to do repair. It took him almost 2 hours justifying my need for a plastic surgeon. He did an outstanding job! I am 7 months out and now have people comment they cannot see my scar any more. I am so grateful.
Researching a tummy tuck?
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is major surgery with real risks and a recovery that usually runs several weeks — this page is a starting point for finding a surgeon, not medical advice. The most useful next step is a consultation, where a surgeon reviews your health history, examines you, talks through your options, and gives a personal quote. Bring questions and don't rush the decision.
Questions worth asking: Are you board-certified in plastic surgery (and can I verify it)? Where would you operate, and is the facility accredited? Can I see before-and-after photos of your own patients? What are the risks and the realistic recovery timeline for me? What's your revision policy if something needs adjusting? Whatever a listing says, always verify certification directly with the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) at abplasticsurgery.org, and discuss your candidacy, risks, and recovery with the surgeon.
