From the reviews
I saw Dr. Paul Kim for Blepharoplasty to remove my under eye bags. He advised me that I did not need anesthesia because he would numb both eyes and I would be very comfortable. He further advised that I would see immediate results following the procedure. Dr. Kim did exactly as he had explained!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was initially referred to Dr. Kim and wasn’t sure why I was scheduled with Dr. Shafer instead — but I’m so glad that I was. From start to finish, Dr. Shafer explained everything thoroughly, never rushed through appointments, and always made me feel comfortable and heard.
My wife had a cyst that got infected and on our dermatologist recommendation we called Legacy. For complicated reasons, two days before our appointment date she needed immediate care. They adjusted schedules for one of their surgeons to fit us in that very same day. Here are some high points of our visit.
Dr. Charles Schafer is exceptional. As a physician assistant with 20 years in medicine—16 of those in plastic surgery—I’m very selective about who I would trust with my own care. My recent breast reduction with mastopexy was handled with a level of precision, judgment, and artistry that’s hard to find.
Researching a tummy tuck?
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is major surgery with real risks and a recovery that usually runs several weeks — this page is a starting point for finding a surgeon, not medical advice. The most useful next step is a consultation, where a surgeon reviews your health history, examines you, talks through your options, and gives a personal quote. Bring questions and don't rush the decision.
Questions worth asking: Are you board-certified in plastic surgery (and can I verify it)? Where would you operate, and is the facility accredited? Can I see before-and-after photos of your own patients? What are the risks and the realistic recovery timeline for me? What's your revision policy if something needs adjusting? Whatever a listing says, always verify certification directly with the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) at abplasticsurgery.org, and discuss your candidacy, risks, and recovery with the surgeon.
