From the reviews
My personal journey started with Dr. Collis, and his team, as I started on my reconstructive procedure (s) seven months ago. I would like to thank him for always leading with empathy, providing knowledge, and showing his patients caring, and compassion during a time that many cannot relate to in life.
Dr. Collis is truly exceptional. From my initial consultation to my post-op care his expertise and compassion were evident. He took time to answer all of my questions and address my concerns. Heidi and Jeannette from his office contributed to my care and they helped to make my whole experience smooth and stress-free.
There are not enough kind words to put onto paper about Dr Collis. He is an amazing surgeon who truly cares about the work he is doing and the people he is doing it for. He is compassionate, understanding and very talented. I weighed 303 pounds, was left with skin all over my body, I am now 148.
I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in 2024. In October 2024 I had a double mastectomy and Dr Collis did the spacers. Later on he did the reconstruction. The reconstruction is beautiful, great shapes and minmal scaring. Him and his staff listens to me and I always addressed my concerns.
Researching a tummy tuck?
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is major surgery with real risks and a recovery that usually runs several weeks — this page is a starting point for finding a surgeon, not medical advice. The most useful next step is a consultation, where a surgeon reviews your health history, examines you, talks through your options, and gives a personal quote. Bring questions and don't rush the decision.
Questions worth asking: Are you board-certified in plastic surgery (and can I verify it)? Where would you operate, and is the facility accredited? Can I see before-and-after photos of your own patients? What are the risks and the realistic recovery timeline for me? What's your revision policy if something needs adjusting? Whatever a listing says, always verify certification directly with the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) at abplasticsurgery.org, and discuss your candidacy, risks, and recovery with the surgeon.
