I was hospitalized due to a deep dog bite and my thumb was horribly infected. Dr. Scheinman came to the emergency room at LIJ to see me around 11 pm on Independence Day to clean and drain my wounds on my hand. He approached me in a friendly, calm manner and his bedside manner was fantastic.
