From the reviews
Dr. Kris Shewmake and Jill Carlson, RN were my answer to prayer. I started my weight loss when I was 50, but at 66 I found my face and back with lots of extra skin. I no longer felt comfortable wearing tank tops in the summer and my face, although thinner, looked saggy and sad all the time.
I went for a consultation recently and everyone was wonderful. I hope to be able to go back for procedures at some point , just not sure i can swing the cost right now!
All of the staff members are genuinely friendly and helpful. Kris Shewmake is extensively knowledgeable; he counsels and encourages clients to get just what they need but not too much. He's pragmatic in his approach, which is very refreshing in this avenue of medicine.
I researched and interviewed 4 physicians over the span of 2 years. Anytime you have a life and body transforming experience it is definitely not to be taken lightly. Dr.
Researching a tummy tuck?
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is major surgery with real risks and a recovery that usually runs several weeks — this page is a starting point for finding a surgeon, not medical advice. The most useful next step is a consultation, where a surgeon reviews your health history, examines you, talks through your options, and gives a personal quote. Bring questions and don't rush the decision.
Questions worth asking: Are you board-certified in plastic surgery (and can I verify it)? Where would you operate, and is the facility accredited? Can I see before-and-after photos of your own patients? What are the risks and the realistic recovery timeline for me? What's your revision policy if something needs adjusting? Whatever a listing says, always verify certification directly with the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) at abplasticsurgery.org, and discuss your candidacy, risks, and recovery with the surgeon.
