From the reviews
I had my revisions rhinoplasty in April with Dr. Toriumi, and he completely changed my life. I had my originally surgery at 14 and knew I needed another surgery the second I got my cast off, but was terrified about having another recovery and bad experience.
I've known Dr. Toriumi and his staff for at least two years now. It took me about a year to commit to scheduling a revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Toriumi, and I wish I had done it sooner! I had undergone two failed rhinoplasties prior to my third surgery with Dr. Toriumi, and I was scared.
Earlier this year, I had a procedure on my nose performed by Dr. Toriumi to address a deviated septum that had begun affecting my breathing. Everything leading up to the surgery — as well as the care during and after — was extremely professional.
I struggled for years with troubled breathing and a pinched and crooked nose. After consulting with three surgeons I made a fourth appointment with a surgeon in Chicago, a highly regarded and skilled doctor.
Researching a tummy tuck?
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is major surgery with real risks and a recovery that usually runs several weeks — this page is a starting point for finding a surgeon, not medical advice. The most useful next step is a consultation, where a surgeon reviews your health history, examines you, talks through your options, and gives a personal quote. Bring questions and don't rush the decision.
Questions worth asking: Are you board-certified in plastic surgery (and can I verify it)? Where would you operate, and is the facility accredited? Can I see before-and-after photos of your own patients? What are the risks and the realistic recovery timeline for me? What's your revision policy if something needs adjusting? Whatever a listing says, always verify certification directly with the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) at abplasticsurgery.org, and discuss your candidacy, risks, and recovery with the surgeon.
