From the reviews
I've been to eye specialists in Greenville and New Bern NC searching for a Doctor I could feel confidence in. Dr. Oester is definitely the best of the best. Personable with the ability to explain complex topics while at the same time putting the patient at ease.
Very professional. No long waits. Dr. explained everything . I feel confident he will fix my problem. Staff was also professional and worked to get me an acceptable surgery date. Highly recommend.
Dr. Oester and the entire staff at Wilmington Eye were absolutely wonderful. From my very first phone call, I felt seen, heard, and cared for. I had many questions about my daughter’s (9yo) procedure, and they took the time to answer each one so I could make sure she felt fully prepared before even walking into the…
I went to see Dr. Oester about correcting my drooping eyelids. He clearly explained the surgery, the expected result, the surgery itself and the recovery and return to normal following the surgery. Estimated costs were very clearly explained.
Researching a tummy tuck?
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is major surgery with real risks and a recovery that usually runs several weeks — this page is a starting point for finding a surgeon, not medical advice. The most useful next step is a consultation, where a surgeon reviews your health history, examines you, talks through your options, and gives a personal quote. Bring questions and don't rush the decision.
Questions worth asking: Are you board-certified in plastic surgery (and can I verify it)? Where would you operate, and is the facility accredited? Can I see before-and-after photos of your own patients? What are the risks and the realistic recovery timeline for me? What's your revision policy if something needs adjusting? Whatever a listing says, always verify certification directly with the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) at abplasticsurgery.org, and discuss your candidacy, risks, and recovery with the surgeon.
