From the reviews
It has been 4 weeks since my procedure with Dr. Harkins. I am a physician recruiter and because of this was slightly neurotic in choosing my surgeon. So needless to say I did my homework! After reviewing countless physicians and what seemed like endless breast photos, I decided to make an appointment with him.
From where my journey started and what he was given to work with, Dr. Harkins is truly a miracle worker. Even though it required two surgeries, he was always very patient, compassionate and encouraging through the entire process. I am so blessed and grateful I was referred to Dr.
I enthusiastically endorse Dr. Harkins and the team at the Plastic Surgery Center of the South. Dr. Harkins not only addressed my concerns attentively but also delivered exceptional results in my breast implant replacement and lift procedure. What truly stood out was his genuine care and dedication.
Dr. Harkins is a phenomenal surgeon. He did an upper blephotomy aka removal of sagging eye lids and two cysts. His bedside manner is like none other; kind, caring and gentle but gets the job done exceptionally well.
Researching a tummy tuck?
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is major surgery with real risks and a recovery that usually runs several weeks — this page is a starting point for finding a surgeon, not medical advice. The most useful next step is a consultation, where a surgeon reviews your health history, examines you, talks through your options, and gives a personal quote. Bring questions and don't rush the decision.
Questions worth asking: Are you board-certified in plastic surgery (and can I verify it)? Where would you operate, and is the facility accredited? Can I see before-and-after photos of your own patients? What are the risks and the realistic recovery timeline for me? What's your revision policy if something needs adjusting? Whatever a listing says, always verify certification directly with the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) at abplasticsurgery.org, and discuss your candidacy, risks, and recovery with the surgeon.
