From the reviews
Do you know what a Morel-Lavallée is? It’s an internal degloving injury caused by a reckless driver. Going up and down the whole thigh requiring several surgeries and at least 50 stitches. Also a hand injury needing reconstruction skin grafts and a lower shin skin grafts.
After a severe dog bite injury to my left forearm, I was fortunate to be under the care of Dr. Benson Pulikkottil. From the very first appointment, his expertise in complex reconstructive surgery was clear—but what stood out just as much was his warmth and energy.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Pulikkottil. He is an exceptional plastic surgeon who truly changed my life from the inside out. From the very first consultation, he was warm, personable, and incredibly thorough.
Benson J Pulikkottil MD pulled me through one of the most difficult health issues that I ever faced, and I broke my back in 1995. I had septic shock resulting from a sore that wouldn't heal not even with a wound vac system attached.
Researching a tummy tuck?
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is major surgery with real risks and a recovery that usually runs several weeks — this page is a starting point for finding a surgeon, not medical advice. The most useful next step is a consultation, where a surgeon reviews your health history, examines you, talks through your options, and gives a personal quote. Bring questions and don't rush the decision.
Questions worth asking: Are you board-certified in plastic surgery (and can I verify it)? Where would you operate, and is the facility accredited? Can I see before-and-after photos of your own patients? What are the risks and the realistic recovery timeline for me? What's your revision policy if something needs adjusting? Whatever a listing says, always verify certification directly with the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) at abplasticsurgery.org, and discuss your candidacy, risks, and recovery with the surgeon.
