From the reviews
I have had a battle with radiation mutation in my right breast for many years. After losing my right breast after multiple surgeries in 4 months with an "inept " surgeon, I was referred to this miracle worker, aka Dr. Anke Ott Young, after plastic surgeons in Stamford wouldn't touch me.
Dr. Ott-Young is in my opinion a miracle worker, I was mutilated by a surgeon who only cared about how many people she could operate on to make more money. Dr. Ott-Young has helped me feel comfortable about going through my reconstruction process for a 3rd time.
Dr. Anke Ott Young is a very talented plastic surgeon. She did my breast reconstruction after my lumpectomy 5 years ago and since then I developed scar tissue (fat necrosis) and had to have it removed. She did scar tissue removal and fat grafting, and she did a wonderful job making my breasts look good!
Dr. Ott was referred to me by my breast specialist, Dr Hodyl which I am more than grateful. I feel fortunate that our paths crossed. Furthermore, her staff are welcoming and accommodating with any inquiries.
Researching a tummy tuck?
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is major surgery with real risks and a recovery that usually runs several weeks — this page is a starting point for finding a surgeon, not medical advice. The most useful next step is a consultation, where a surgeon reviews your health history, examines you, talks through your options, and gives a personal quote. Bring questions and don't rush the decision.
Questions worth asking: Are you board-certified in plastic surgery (and can I verify it)? Where would you operate, and is the facility accredited? Can I see before-and-after photos of your own patients? What are the risks and the realistic recovery timeline for me? What's your revision policy if something needs adjusting? Whatever a listing says, always verify certification directly with the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) at abplasticsurgery.org, and discuss your candidacy, risks, and recovery with the surgeon.
