About this practice
From the reviews
Dr Altman handled my breast reconstruction and revision. He was absolutely wonderful. Every procedure went smoothly. I could not be more pleased with the results.
The best and most awesome plastic surgeon. Takes his time to talk with you and explain you everything you want/need. He even walks with you through the hospital to give you directions to another department. I've bin treated by him for the past 2 years and it was quite a bumpy ride.
On May 6, 2024 I had abdominoplasty with muscle repair as well as a Panniculectomy at Baylor Scott & White in Temple. Dr Altman thoroughly prepared me for the surgery, explaining every detail in terms I understood. His team of residents, PA, anesthesiologists, and nurses were top notch.
He was pretty awesome from the start. He customized my surgery based on my history of health, and has taken my well being into account the entire time. He is patient in explaining the whole process to you and wants you to fully understand what will proceed.
Researching a tummy tuck?
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is major surgery with real risks and a recovery that usually runs several weeks — this page is a starting point for finding a surgeon, not medical advice. The most useful next step is a consultation, where a surgeon reviews your health history, examines you, talks through your options, and gives a personal quote. Bring questions and don't rush the decision.
Questions worth asking: Are you board-certified in plastic surgery (and can I verify it)? Where would you operate, and is the facility accredited? Can I see before-and-after photos of your own patients? What are the risks and the realistic recovery timeline for me? What's your revision policy if something needs adjusting? Whatever a listing says, always verify certification directly with the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) at abplasticsurgery.org, and discuss your candidacy, risks, and recovery with the surgeon.
