From the reviews
When I tell you Dr. Alexander Au is the BEST. Hands down the best! From his staff to his work! I wanna thank this MAN for believing in me. I seen other surgeon who said NO to helping me regain confidence again because of my Diastasis recti. But not him he said yes! And I wanna thank him from the bottom of my heart!
In my opinion my breasts look better than before my bilateral mastectomy. I know this may be atypical but in my case it’s true. Dr. Au and his team are very talented and kind. He also gave me an acetaminophen / ibuprofen pain management routine that worked so well I never needed anything stronger. Highly recommend.
From the reception area greeting to the back staff, Toni, Kayla, Nicole, the PA Emily and the new MA ( sorry I forgot her name) are the most professional, pleasant, compassionate and friendly women. Dr Au is by far the best! He is kind, personable, compassionate and keeps eye contact while speaking.
I cannot begin to express what an amazing and caring surgeon I found in Dr Au. From my initial consultation through so far my second post op appointment he has taken time to answer all my questions, explained in detail everything he would be doing and truly showed he cared.
Researching a tummy tuck?
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is major surgery with real risks and a recovery that usually runs several weeks — this page is a starting point for finding a surgeon, not medical advice. The most useful next step is a consultation, where a surgeon reviews your health history, examines you, talks through your options, and gives a personal quote. Bring questions and don't rush the decision.
Questions worth asking: Are you board-certified in plastic surgery (and can I verify it)? Where would you operate, and is the facility accredited? Can I see before-and-after photos of your own patients? What are the risks and the realistic recovery timeline for me? What's your revision policy if something needs adjusting? Whatever a listing says, always verify certification directly with the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) at abplasticsurgery.org, and discuss your candidacy, risks, and recovery with the surgeon.
