From the reviews
After years of flip flopping as to whether I should have reconstruction surgery and also being told that I was too obese by other doctors, I tried one more time and my dr. referred me to UNC plastic surgery. I was nervous about my consultation with Dr.
I went to Dr. Yemi after several failed attempts of implants in wilmington. He was amazing through the covid with encouragement. I am so pleased with the results that I got no one wants to hear cancer but thankfully he was able to give me back me
While I have compassion for those who have had unsatisfactory experiences, my experience with Dr. Yemi was exceptional. Initially, after reading some of the reviews, I was hesitant to move forward with Dr. Yemi for my procedure. In my opinion, his straight forwardness can be mistaken for rudeness.
I have been a patient of Dr Ogunleye's for a year and a half and two major reconstruction surgeries as part of my sarcoma (soft tissue cancer) surgical team at UNC. He is an amazing surgeon who has put me back together twice. He is a careful listener and a caring surgeon who is truly gifted at his craft.
Researching a tummy tuck?
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is major surgery with real risks and a recovery that usually runs several weeks — this page is a starting point for finding a surgeon, not medical advice. The most useful next step is a consultation, where a surgeon reviews your health history, examines you, talks through your options, and gives a personal quote. Bring questions and don't rush the decision.
Questions worth asking: Are you board-certified in plastic surgery (and can I verify it)? Where would you operate, and is the facility accredited? Can I see before-and-after photos of your own patients? What are the risks and the realistic recovery timeline for me? What's your revision policy if something needs adjusting? Whatever a listing says, always verify certification directly with the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) at abplasticsurgery.org, and discuss your candidacy, risks, and recovery with the surgeon.
